Shop & Dine Local on December 9
Celebrate the season with your favorite local businesses on The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand and the Roosevelt Cultural District. The Peppermint Trail returns on December 9 with shopping and dining specials, plus a line-up of holiday festivities, including trolley rides, visits from Santa Claus, window displays, a gingerbread contest, carolers and more.
“The Peppermint Trail is back to bring even more festive fun to shoppers and diners in two special Des Moines retail districts,” said Lauren Kollauf, executive director of The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand. This is the second year of The Peppermint Trail. “We want visitors to think local for their shopping and dining this holiday season.”
More than 50 businesses have signed up to be a stop on The Peppermint Trail, each with special offerings during their business hours so that customers can join the fun throughout the day and evening.
