Peppermint Trail coming to The Avenues, Roosevelt districts

Shop and dine holiday specials on December 10 at new holiday event

Get in the holiday spirit by visiting The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand and the Roosevelt Cultural District on December 10. Your favorite local shops, restaurants and businesses will be featuring peppermint or holiday-themed specials and decor at each stop along the Peppermint Trail.

“We hope this new event reminds our community that The Avenues and the Roosevelt Cultural districts are great places to shop and dine locally during the holiday season,” said Lauren Kollauf, executive director of The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand.

“We are enthusiastic to share the excitement of the season across our two districts,” said Susan Noland, President of the Roosevelt Cultural District and owner of Designs in Gold located in the Shops of Roosevelt.

More than 50 local businesses have already signed up to be a stop on the Peppermint Trail. Each will be celebrating in their own unique way within their business hours so that customers can participate in the event throughout the day and evening. All participating businesses and their specials are listed on www.theavenuesdsm.com/peppermint-trail.

Along the Peppermint Trail you will find discounts on holiday goods, drinks and sweet treats for shoppers, service projects, giveaways, photo opportunities, pop-up shops – and more surprises! To spread even more holiday cheer, carolers from Roosevelt High School and Plymouth United Church of Christ will be traveling through the district during the daytime hours.
