The Avenues hosting giveaways on social media amid detour

As construction of the transformational streetscape project reaches its final stages this season, Ingersoll Avenue is currently a westbound one-way street between 28th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. The eastbound lanes of Ingersoll Avenue are closed to traffic while crews pave the road. A detour route for eastbound traffic has been posted to direct travelers south to Grand Avenue. Work is anticipated to be complete by late October.

During this detour, all businesses on Ingersoll Avenue between Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and 28th Street remain open! Patrons are encouraged to access businesses from the westbound lanes. Some businesses have also shared news ways of accesses their store or restaurant with customers, including back entrances or special parking arrangements during construction.
