Meet the family-owned flower shop that has served Des Moines for more than 100 years: Boesen The Florist.
In July, the company celebrated 74 years at 3801 Ingersoll Avenue.

Owner Tom Boesen is the third generation of his family to run the beloved flower shop.
Boesen has a long winning streak for the “Best Place in Des Moines to Buy Flowers” by the annual Cityview Awards.
“Our goal is to maintain the same quality flowers and customer service we have been doing in Des Moines for 103 years,” said Boesen.
Boesen The Florist has another location in Des Moines at 3422 Beaver Avenue.
Boesen The Florist has a large selection of flowers and services, including flower arrangements created for specific special occasions. Flower and gift deliveries are also available for recipients in the Des Moines area. Boesen gift arrangements include bouquets with cakes, a chocolate collaboration with Ingersoll’s Chocolaterie Stam, fruit baskets, and more.
Ingersoll’s Boesen location is home to the flower shop’s wedding services: Weddings by Boesen. Their wedding services include any flower arrangements a couple could need for their venue, their loved ones, and themselves.
